Over the past few weeks I’ve been really enjoying trying out different workouts and mixing up my routine – in the past 6 weeks I’ve tried a Battle Rope circuit at Equinox London, tried both Ride and Reshape sessions at 1Rebel, SUPYoga and HIIT on a paddleboard in the Serpentine with Aquaphysical by The Privee Project and this morning the Active in Style park HIIT and group run (which I’ve never done before!) – here I am post 3k run in the rain with just two of the lovely ladies I’ve had the pleasure of meeting since mixing up my fitness regime.
I LOVE teaching Body Pump and Body Attack and I love weight training on my own but with so many amazing fitness opportunities and experiences on offer now in London it is so easy to try something new and shake up my routine. And of course make fabulous new fit friends in the process. Make sure you don’t get stuck in a fitness rut – I have challenged myself in so many different ways these past few weeks and loved every minute of it. My body has too – doing the same things week in week out will make it hard to see progress and results but also heighten the risk of injury as you over-use the same muscles repetitively. There’s a new month just around the corner so my August challenge to you is to try something new! And if you don’t want to go it alone drop me a line – friends who workout together stay fit together, and if you want to change your body, you have to challenge your body – and the choice of how you do that has never been greater!
